Calling all children's modeling agencies!!! This little boy is one of the most photogenic kids I've ever had the chance to work with! If you're a parent to a child that just does "fake smile" every time a camera is pointing in their direction (ummm...that would be one of my children), then you know how hard it can be to have natural, in-the-moment, priceless expressions for pictures. Well, I didn't even have to work for these cutie faces...they were all natural!!! I think he made a different expression or smile with every snap of the shutter! And what an outstanding personality!!!! Enjoy...

Yummmmmmmy!!!!! New babies are just the most precious little things!!! I've photographed this family before a few times, so it was sooo exciting to get to photograph the new baby sister!!! Lily was...sigh...not the happiest about getting her pictures taken. She really loves being held by her Mommy, which I surely don't blame her! But we were able to get some sweet shots & love the pics with her big brother and sisters!!! Enjoy...

So, I'm really cheating on the order for this BLOG. I still haven't blogged about Brogan's bday party, Disney World, Christmas, NYE, or anything else personal in quite some time!!! But I've had some family members and friends ask what Granger has been up to, so I thought I'd put forth the effort with a quick post!! Granger started crawling on my birthday, which was January 6th! What a great present!! Just this past weekend, he started pulling up and standing! Such exciting times at our house...and crazier! I find myself sweeping and mopping more often, and I definitely am on the constant search for tiny toys on the floors...ie: LEGOS! Argh!!! Here are a few pictures of Granger from January...

I met Skylar out at her family's home, which is on a bunch of beautiful land! She had so many ideas of exactly what she wanted her senior pictures to look like, so she was ready to go when I got there. It was a very cold and the windiest day ever, but she smiled through it all, without a complaint!!! Skylar shows pigs through her high school FFA, and she's won a ton of awards and scholarships. I love the way she decided to showcase them, out in the trees. Enjoy!...

Another Mommy that wanted maternity pictures of her fourth pregnancy!!! I had 1,000 flashbacks of when I had my 4th baby maternity pictures taken by my friend (HERE)! Julia's kids were great and so excited! This 4th baby was to be a surprise!!! She had the baby last week, and it was another little girl! So, big brother with 3 little sisters!!! So sweet! I get to go and take the tiny newborn pics tomorrow! Can't wait! For now, enjoy the maternity pictures...

I so enjoy getting to visit with this family! I love that they live about 1 mile from where I grew up, and their amazing lake house is just about 30 minutes from where I live now! the BIG surprise!!!! {personal}

So, it's been literally a year in the planning. David's parents are treating our family and his sister's family (they have 4 girls...love how that worked out that we have 4 boys) to a trip to Disney World!!! We all went about 3 years ago, and it was time to go back! Brogan had never been, so they knew this would be the perfect age for him and Carrigan (the youngest of the 4 girl cousins) to enjoy the magical experience! This time, it's been kept a secret, literally for almost a year! So, last night at around 5:25 p.m., I sat all of the boys down on our couch. They were squirming all around and giggling. I told them that Pop Pop & Mimi had just called and said that they had a HUGE SURPRISE for them! They told us to get a pillow, a blanket, and their favorite stuffed animal and get to their house quickly! Well, they started jumping all around and Dayton was squealing like a little girl! So, they instantly ran around the house getting their things (David & I had already packed everything for the trip earlier in the day, and it was all sitting at his parents house, ready to go!) We load into the car to drive over there. The whole way there, it was guessing what in the world this big surprise could be. I heard...new guns, new boat, lots of toys, an I-pad, etc. I think they collectively agreed that it was a 4-wheeler for the deer lease. Hilarious! So, we got there and went in, and I'll just let the pictures explain the rest!!! (David videoed the whole thing, which is much, much better than the pics because of all the screaming and hollering!!! ;)) (these are unedited!!!)...

Even Granger is excited!!!!!!!!!!!!! I get to fly there with him today, instead of drive the 18-hour trip with everyone else!!! Yippee!!!

They loaded up in the car, and they set-off for Orlando!! I talked with David and he said, they stayed up through Houston, and have all been asleep!

I can't wait to see them all again later today in Florida!!! More pics to come soon!!!

This family is one of those...six degrees of separation, but it always ends up being just about 2 degrees! Mom went to high school with my brother-in-law, and they knew each other very well! Now, our kids go to the same elementary, just different grades! They are the sweetest family, and the kids (and mom & dad) are SUPER photogenic, and this was one of my most favorite shoots of the whole season! You'll see what I mean...

L-uuuu-v seeing these precious girlies so often!!! I've mentioned before that their Mommy is one of the owners of the Bless Your Heart Boutique, which is now a chain!!! This fall, they added another location in the Alamo Heights area! I highly recommend you go check them out, especially if you're looking for a few Christmas gifts! Anyhow, the day of the shoot was FREEZING cold!!!! They were brave! And the girls were dressed in the most adorable little pink holiday dresses, and we got to take pics on the super~cool couch that was inside the store!...which a little side-note....the couch was a total dumpster~dive!!! Love it! Enjoy their pics...

I wanted to take my 4 boys the our church's pumpkin patch for some fun pictures. Only 2 of them wanted to play along. ;((( Dayton & Grady begged not to have to do a mini "photo shoot" with Mommy, so Granger had a turn & Brogan was in costume & ready to go! I did get all 4 of them in this one though...

So fun!

brogan's FUNNY incident & hailey's skating party {personal}

(Don't look at this post without scrolling down to read the funniest story EVER about Brogan!!!) We were in Katy for a weekend, so we got to attend our little niece's 7th birthday party at the skating rink...the SAME skating rink that I used to couple~skate at when I was in elementary/junior high!! Wow, the memories! The boys were very hesitant at first, and then ended up absolutely LOVING it!!! They skated non-stop for 2 whole hours...with the help of little "walkers" and of course, Daddy!! Enjoy...

I just happened to catch this picture when Granger was blowing his raspberries! So funny!...

But the FUNNIEST part of the whole day...maybe year...was Brogan's first time playing "Red Light/Green Light." So, some worker explained the rules over the loud speaker. I told David to make sure Brogan understood the rules...check. Well, as soon as that man said, "Green Light", Brogan took off as absolutely fast as he could...{hold on...I have to stop typing bc I'm laughing sooooo hard just thinking about this!} Anyhow, the man says, "Red Light", and everyone stopped...except for Brogan. He kept going as fast as possible, now looking to the sides, realizing that he is in "first place"! So, he hauls butt, all the way to the end, sees that he was "first", and starts shouting, "YYYYYEEEEESSSS!!!!!", and jumping up and down. Seriously one of the funniest things I've seen in a very long time. I would say the majority of the 5 million people at this skating rink were laughing so hard they were crying. I thought David was going to pee right there on the rink because he was laughing so hard! Then, Brogan starts to skate back to where David & the other boys are waiting...because everyone else is still on "Red Light", and he's shouting, "I won!! I won!" all the way back! I'm not kidding that poor Brogan still talks about it, reminding us of "...the time he WON that skating game!" Hysterical! Of all the times I didn't have the video player going....argh!!!! Oh well, at least I got the pictures, and I'm pretty sure it's a little event that I won't forget!...

Oh my, I cannot stop laughing!!! Thanks Hailey for having us at your super-fun skating party!
